NBI Clearance Requirements and Process

Like any other normal citizen of the Philippines, when applying for a job or going abroad, maybe business registration or visa applications. NBI Clearance is one requirement. This is to prove that the person bearing the name has no criminal record or civil cases & obligations. Here are some tips on the NBI Clearance Requirements and Process.

Now that the NBI process has been updated, the renewal process of the NBI Clearance is no longer valid. Instead, you have to do the process all over again just like the first time you did. So, basically first timers and the experienced ones should have the same process.

NBI Clearance Requirements via Online NBI System:

• Any Two valid government ID’s (SSS, GSIS, Passport, Voter’s ID, Driver’s License, and company ID, NSO Certified Birth Certificate).
• Payment Fees through:
• GCash - You may send GCash Payment to 28829175638053
• Pinoy Pera Padala - Payment options are accepted. Just show your:
• Reference Number
• Printed QR Code

NBI Online Application Process:

• Pay the exact amount of the fee depending on what purpose your request is.
• Receipts should be kept. Make sure you take note of the reference number. If you paid via GCash, there should be a text message or your reference number.
• Validate your payment by logging in to the NBI Online Application Website or www.nbi.gov.ph
• After you have successfully entered all the required fields, print the QR Code.
• Bring the QR Code along with the Requirements to the nearest NBI Building.
• Present the QR and the Requirements and head to the eClearance lane.
• Obtain your NBI Clearance

NBI Clearance Requirements via Traditioanal Process:

• Any Two valid government ID’s (SSS, GSIS, Passport, Voter’s ID, Driver’s License, and company ID, NSO Certified Birth Certificate).

NBI Traditional Application Process:

• Once you have all the requirements, submit it to the first window or the first step of the process. You will be given a form to fill up. Make sure you have a pen with you. 
• Submit the filled up form to the encoder and wait for your name to be called. there is a P25.00 fee for the encoding. You will be given a priority number.
• Once your number is called, you pay the amount to the Cashier.
• After the payment, there is a queue for the picture taking and thumb mark.
• If you do not have hits, then you can get your NBI Clearance instantly. Just wait for your name to be called.
• If you have a hit, you have to wait for 3-5 days for the release of your clearance.
